With only 2 weeks of competition left, the league playoff picture has yet to come into full focus. The top 4 teams in each division will compete in 2 rounds of single elimination playoffs. In Division A, The Pinfidels of Bar Great Harry have secured a playoff spot with a commanding 7-1 record thus far. The rest of the spots, however, are still up for grabs as 4 of the remaining 5 teams still have a chance to claim a spot in the playoffs.
While the Damned Refugees have run away with the B Division and secured the top seed with an undefeated record thus far, nobody else has managed to claim a playoff spot. While last season’s finalists, The Casserollers, are favored to claim a spot, 8 of the remaining 9 teams are still mathematically capable of making the playoffs!
This next week of competition is certain to clarify things, but it is important to remember — standings are determined by a simple win/loss record. If two, or more teams have the same record, then overall match points will determine who is ahead. If these numbers are the same, then it comes down to head-to-head record.
