After a series of semi-finals matches that featured 3 upsets, the league finals are now set. In Division A the top seeded Terror-Wrists from Reciprocal Skateboards were defeated at home by the 4th seeded, but always dangerous, Bumper? Hardly Knew Her from Satellite Lounge. Across town the number 2 seed Pinfidels of Bar Great Harry won a tight match against Flipped Out of Mission Dolores fame. This means that the two finalists are meeting in a rematch of last season (the Pinfidels are formally known as Sofa King Suite). The A Division finals are set to take place on Monday, May 21st at Amsterdam Billiards in the East Village.
In the B Division, the undefeated Damned Refugees of Amsterdam Billiards lost a close one to the tough number 4 seeded Lost in the Zone of the Carriage House. Over at Mug’s Ale House in Williamsburg, last season’s finalists and this season’s second seed, the Casserollers, were upset by the feisty new team from No Idea — Dr. Teeth. Lost in the Zone and Dr. Teeth will square off in the finals this Monday night at Zablozki’s in Williamsburg.
