Jon over at Reciprocal Skateboards is planning another pinball tournament — this time its in his newly expanded space and featuring 10 machines! Here’s what he has to say about the event (edited to include capital letters):

For those who aren’t familiar with the Pinferno tournament, it’s an all-day event starting at noon, and continuing until a grand champion is crowned (usually around 10pm). The tournament is broken into 2 rounds. the first round, from noon until 6pm, will have every participant playing in groups of 4, and switching groups after every game. Player’s points are determined by their outcomes in these group matches, and totals are recalculated after every game to determine grouping in the next game.
Round 2 will only involve the top 24 point-holders as of 6pm, going on to playing tournament style brackets in either a best out of 3 or best out of 5 match, depending on the leg of the bracket.
Details of the tournament are still being worked out, and are subject to change between now and the time of the event. Until then, look forward to the following highlights:
