Pins-giving at The Fifth Estate

The Pins are doing the giving this holiday season!
Join us at the Fifth Estate on November 8th for a little pre-holiday party and a much needed fundraiser for the victims of Hurricane Sandy. Play classic pinball while you shake your thang to the dope tracks spun by DJ Cutman. Enjoy a $5 PBR/Genesse and shot or dive into a Slam Tilt punch. Better yet, score enough on one of the pinball machines, and you’ll score a drink on the house! Feel good drinking and playing pinball knowing that proceeds will be going to help our fellow New Yorkers as they struggle to recover from Hurricane Sandy.
Pin-Givings
- One pinball machine will be set up for charitable purposes. All proceeds from this machine will go to the Robin Hood Sandy Relief Fund. At the end of the night, the person with the single highest score will win a bounty of prizes from us and our sponsors.
- As the donations continue to come rolling in, we will also set up some kind of raffle to distribute other prizes. All of the money earned will go to the same charity.
- A portion of the cost of our Slam Tilt punch will go directly to charity.
- Score 250,000 points on one of the classics — Bobby Orr, Paragon, or Future Spa — or reach the Mansion on Playboy and you’ll win a free drink from the bar.*
- Score 500,000 points on one of the classics or 150,000,000 on Playboy and earn a $20 bar tab — redeemable that night or at a future date.**
Silent Auction
Some very special items have been donated to our fundraiser which we will give away in the form of a silent auction. These items will be open to everyone who attends the party tonight, and anyone who emails us with a bid between 8:00 PM and 10:00 PM EST tonight, November 8th, 2012. Any bid received before 8 or after 10 will be ignored. The single person with the highest bid will win the item and will be alerted, via email, within 24 hours of the event. In the event that two people bid the same amount via email, the person who bid first will win the auction. If there are more than one highest bidders at tonight’s event, then they these people will be invited to bid again to determine the winner. To bid, please send an email with the item name and US Dollar amount of your bid IN THE SUBJECT field, to contact@pinballnyc.com.

Our Charity
100% of all the money earned at our fundraiser will be given to the Robin Hood Sandy Relief Fund. Robin Hood is a local organization that finds, funds and partners with programs that have proven they are an effective. Their board pays all administrative and fundraising costs, so 100% of donations goes directly to helping New Yorkers in need. The Hurricane Sandy fund was set up to distribute money and goods directly to those agencies and organizations that are on the front line helping those New Yorkers in need. Charity Navigator scores Robin Hood 69.37 out of a possible 70 overall. I am confident that our money will be very well spent and put to immediate use.
