As is customary, we mark the mid-point of each season with a league social gathering. Season 20 is no exception. This time around we’re gathering at Solid State, and Belles & Chimes New York will be putting together a little tournament to spice things up a bit. The tournament is a “progressive strike” tournament where groups of four play a single game and strikes are handed out based on the results. The player who finishes first gets zero strikes, second gets 1 strike, third gets 2 strikes, and the fourth place player gets 3 strikes. After that groups are shuffled and you play again. Once you get 5 strikes, you’re eliminated from the tournament. The format should mean the tournament will go quickly, so no need to worry about making it to work the next day. There’s a $5 entry to participate which will go toward the prize pool. Registration begins at 7:00 PM, and the tournament starts promptly at 8:00. Also, Solid State will be offering happy hour pricing all night for all party goers. Should be fun! Hope to see ya.
