Rule Update | February 17, 2019
The rules concerning machine failure and neutral venues have been fine tuned. Effective immediately, the following changes will be implemented:
VII. OTHER NOTES -> L. Machine Failure -> 2.
In the past, if a machine failure that affected only one player occurred during ball one, then every player was forced to restart their game. This is no longer true. From now on, the affected player will have the option to restart their game or play on — all other players must finish playing out their game.
V. PLAYOFFS -> C. Neutral Venues
Once upon a time finding a playoff venue with machines that are completely “neutral” to both teams was an easily achievable goal. However, due in large part to the inclusion of Sunshine Laundry, today this is no longer the case. As such, while a truly “neutral” venue will be sought, from now on machines shared by both competing teams will now be considered “neutral” and will be in play for playoff matches.
