Announcement | November 26, 2012
On November 8th, the New York City pinball community gathered at the Fifth Estate in Park Slope for a pinball party and Hurricane Sandy fundraiser. The party featured many raffle prizes donated by the businesses near and far, and a hotly contested pinball contest for a Jersey Jack Wizard of Oz mirrored backglass. Simultaneously, we ran the first of two silent auctions for items generously donated by pinball legends John Popadiuk of Zidware Pinball and George Gomez of Stern Pinball. Thanks to this generous community the event raised more than $1,895 and the auction raised an additional $1,518 for the Robin Hood Sandy Relief Fund! The following weekend we added more than $600 to the fund via a silent auction for great items donated to us by Stern Pinball and our local pinhead Steve Marsh. That brings the our fundraising totals to just under $4,000! Thank you pinball community.
