Announcement | November 9, 2019
I have decided that the Fall 2019 season will revert to formats used in prior seasons, more or less. Last season, due to a sudden drop in team count, we instituted two-rounds of playoffs, exclusively on neutral territory, for all of the divisions, with the Left and Right Flipper divisions having an additional round as their respective winners squared off for the trophy. This season we will once again have three rounds of playoffs throughout. The playoffs will begin the week of November 25th, the week immediately following the conclusion of the regular season. Finals will be held on December 9th and 10th.
In the Upper Playfield and Right In-Lane the top SIX teams will make the playoffs and the top two teams will have first round byes. The third and fourth seeds will have home field advantage and host the sixth and fifth seeds, respectively, in the first round. Rounds two and three will be played on “neutral” territory with the higher seed serving as the “home” team in each round.
Since the champion of both the Left and Right Flipper play each other in Lower Playfield championship, and since the calendar dictates that we are limited to three rounds, only the top four teams in each division will make the playoffs, as it was last season. Also like last season, there will be no home field advantage in any of the rounds.
